According to the National Economic Register, belonging to the Ministry of Economy, by the end of October of the past year, the total number of registered commercial licenses in the UAE reached 933.5 thousand, compared to 800 thousand at the end of the previous year, which indicates an increase of 133.5 thousand licenses over 10 months, witnessing the ongoing growth of economic and commercial activity in the country. The attractive legal environment and the strengthening of the Emirates' status as a regional and global trade center have attracted numerous large international and regional companies to operate in the UAE.

The data from the National Economic Register showed that organizations with limited liability and individual entrepreneurship are among the leaders in legal forms of company creation in the country for the first 10 months of the current year.

By geographical distribution, licenses from the National Economic Register, Dubai accounted for about 555 thousand licenses by the end of October, which makes up approximately 60% of the total number of issued licenses in the country. The data also indicated that for registered licenses in the Emirates of Abu Dhabi, it amounted to 168 thousand by October, constituting about 18% of the total number of licenses issued in the country. Sharjah ranks third with a share of almost 11.6% of the total number of licenses issued in the country, with a total number of licenses reaching 109.5 thousand. At the same time, in the Emirate of Ras al-Khaimah, 64 thousand commercial licenses were issued. The remaining licenses are distributed between economic zones and free economic zones in the Emirates of Ajman, Fujairah, and Umm al-Quwain.
