
The companies Etisalat and du paid up to 6.43 billion dirhams as licensed collections and income tax in the UAE over 9 months.
These data were published in the annual report on the regulation of the telecommunications sector. It also shows that the total income from licensed collections since the beginning of 2021 amounted to 4.39 billion dirhams, while taxes on profit amounted to 2.04 billion dirhams.
The report states that the total income from licensed collections since September 2021 was 624.48 million dirhams, and the profit tax was 376.4 million dirhams.
These payments reflect the obligations of companies before the regulators in the UAE and their contribution to the development of the telecommunications sector in the country.
"Etisalat and du continue to fulfill their obligations regarding the payment of licensed collections and profit taxes, which contributes to the development of infrastructure and ensures the quality of services for consumers in the UAE," the report states.
