In Dubai, starting from November 24, two new toll gates will begin operations, which will increase their total number in the emirate from eight to ten, announced the Roads and Transport Authority of Dubai (Salik PJSC) on Friday, November 1. The new tolls will be located at the intersections of Business Bay on Al Khail Road and in Al Safa South on Sheikh Zayed Road between Al Meydan and Umm Al Sheif streets. Officials have reported that the locations were chosen based on general studies of road traffic, aimed at alleviating delays in these areas.
"Salik, the operator of Dubai's toll gates, has received direction from the Roads and Transport Authority to install new tolls for improving traffic flow," the authorities commented. As Dubai continues to develop, it is expected that these new installations in the toll system will improve mobility and reduce delays for motorists.
