The data indicated that Dubai surpassed London, Paris, and New York in terms of booked airline tickets as of the report dated October 25, while Bangkok and Tokyo took the first two spots in November. Additionally, according to the same company, Dubai ranked eighth in popularity among international destinations for airline ticket searches from various markets around the world.
Along with this, the data indicates a strong surge in hospitality services in Dubai, where the emirate took first place in the world for demand for short-term rentals of homes and apartments since September 22 of last year. Dubai also dominated in this category over several weeks in October and September.
The popularity of Dubai as an international tourism destination continues to grow, and the emirate remains a leading financial and business center. According to recent data from the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, the emirate attracted 11.93 million international tourists in the first eight months of this year, which is 7.5% more than in the same period last year. This set a record for the number of tourists. Also, Dubai Airport received 44.9 million passengers in the first half of this year, which is 8% more than in the same period last year.
