DUBAI GAMES, previously known as Gov Games, will kick off its sixth edition on 8 February 2025 with the Battle of the Juniors at Damac Hills. The main event will then follow on 20 February 2025 at Dubai Festival City.
Marwan bin Essa, Director of DUBAI GAMES, mentioned that the tournament has seen substantial growth over the years. It has expanded its challenges, attracting a diverse range of participants from federal and local government entities, community groups, young athletes, and international teams. The upcoming edition is poised to be the largest ever, drawing participants from across the globe.
The tournament, scheduled for February 2025, will present a series of rigorous mental and physical challenges. These challenges aim to test the endurance, strength, and teamwork of both local and international participants. DUBAI GAMES 2025 will feature categories such as Battle of the Government - Men, Battle of the Government - Women, Battle of the Community, Battle of the Cities, and Battle of the Juniors.
The rebranding of the tournament to DUBAI GAMES was announced by the Higher Committee of Gov Games under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, showing Dubai's commitment to the event's global growth. The tournament's new identity reflects its evolution into a globally recognized sporting platform.
The revamped DUBAI GAMES brand symbolizes the event's rise to a significant international sporting event. This achievement has been made possible through the collaborative efforts of strategic partners and sponsors. The transformation aligns with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, who has emphasized excellence as a core aspect of Dubai's identity.
