
As part of the event "Poetry: Female," which took place at the Mukhammada bin Rashid Library in Dubai, four contemporary poets from the Arab world were gathered: Omel as-Sahlavi from the UAE, Rawda al-Haj from Sudan, Amani az-Zaibi from Tunisia, and Kamar al-Jasem from Syria. They expressed their feelings and ideas through poetry, discussing various aspects of female and human life.
Omel as-Sahlavi opened the evening with musical compositions and verses about love, pain, endurance, and inner conflicts. Amani az-Zaibi used symbolism and language, encompassing the full spectrum of life, to explore the connection between women and nature. Kamar al-Jasem expressed her feelings about Arab identity, while Rawda al-Haj dedicated her poem to Sudan, drawing attention to the suffering of women and the social aspects of their lives. She emphasized the importance of supporting female poetic voices and the necessity of their widespread dissemination.
The participants noted the special role of female poetry in literature and society. Kamar al-Jasem emphasized the importance of having her voice heard in such cultural centers as the Mukhammada bin Rashid Library. Amani az-Zaibi expressed her joy from participating in the event and the opportunity to connect with other talented poets. Each of them brought their unique perspective and experience to this poetic gathering.
The musical piece "Minoretta" by composer Vassim Joulou was specially created for the Mukhammada bin Rashid Library, adding a unique ambiance to the evening. All events are held with the aim of stimulating interest in culture and literature, supporting the Arabic language and the art of poetry. The library strives to create an environment for creative exchange between various artistic personalities and the development of participants' creative abilities.
