Dubai's 13th Sikka Arts Festival Unveiled

In the historical district of Shindagha, more than 500 artists participate in the 13th edition of the Al Shindagha Arts and Design Festival. The event, organized by Dubai Culture, offers an excellent opportunity for both young and experienced creative individuals to exchange ideas and perspectives.

Sheikh Maktoum bin Marvan Al Maktoum, the festival's chief artistic director, emphasized that this year's artists' work is focused on the art of storytelling. Each home featuring a displayed artwork opens a dialogue, immersing visitors in a diverse experience of the event.

Sheikh Maktoum bin Marvan noted that this year the number of participants has increased, including from the UAE and other countries, which contributes to enriching the artistic environment and helps elevate the craftsmanship of young talents.

The festival focuses not only on exhibitions of art, but also offers various events, seminars, and dialogues, contributing to the development of Dubai's cultural scene. This year, particular attention is given to inclusivity, gathering everyone, including people with limited opportunities, to showcase their talent and abilities.

The exhibition includes over 40 art pieces, distributed across 19 homes around the Dubai Creek, showcasing various forms of art, sculpture, and interactive works. The program also includes 13 graffiti pieces created by well-known artists, which correspond to the strategy "art in public spaces", promoted by Dubai Culture.
