Coco Gauff Excited for Dubai Tennis Participation

News about American tennis player Coco Gauff, who ranks third in the world rankings, returning to participate in the 25th edition of the Dubai Tennis Championships for professional players, held yesterday at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium in the Karama area, has sparked interest among tennis fans. Gauff expressed her joy at the opportunity to participate in the tournament after her early exit from Qatar last week.

During the press conference, she shared that losing in Doha allowed her to arrive in Dubai early and conduct a series of training sessions instead of spending time with her family in Dubai Mall. She was able to visit local attractions, including Burj Khalifa. Gauff also expressed a desire to visit other places in Dubai, including the beaches.

The tennis player remarked that during this time of year, it's hard for her to participate in tournaments since she had to head to Qatar immediately after competing in the Australian Open. Currently, she is focusing on training in Dubai, hoping to show a better result. Gauff emphasized that her coaches focus on positive aspects, working on psychology and achieving goals.

Gauff highlighted the importance of being able to accept losses, being confident that defeats can transform into victories in the long run. In last year's tournament, Gauff reached the semifinals, where she suffered a loss to Polish player Iga Swiatek.

In the tournament, Swiss tennis player Belinda Bencic, the champion of the Dubai Tennis Championships 2019, competently performed, ranking 69th in the world rankings. She easily advanced to the second round, defeating Japanese tennis player Aya Ito with a score of 6-0, 6-2.
