
The Human Resources Department of the Government of Dubai held a master class titled 'Humanism: Emotional Intelligence as a Stimulus for Innovations.' The event was led by the Director of Operations of the International Organization IdeasUK, Zina Koks. The event took place at the Safa Library for Design and Art. The main focus of the master class was on nurturing creative thinking and strengthening the culture of innovation in the public sector of labor.
The aim of the event was to highlight the importance of emotional intelligence in the workplace, its role in stimulating innovation, and sustainable development through interactive exercises, helping participants explore ways of utilizing emotional intelligence to improve individual and collective productivity.
Abdullah Ali Ben Zaid Al-Falasi, the General Director of the Human Resources Department of the Government of Dubai, emphasized that strengthening the culture of innovation in the public sector of labor has become a necessity for adapting to rapid changes, predicting the future and its challenges. Al-Falasi underlined: 'We believe that human capital is a key stimulus for innovations.'
Zina Koks noted that emotional intelligence is not just a skill; it is an essential element for stimulating transformation and growth in the modern workplace, which requires flexible solutions to tackle emerging challenges, emphasizing its critical role in developing competencies and skills necessary for enhancing cooperation and increasing productivity.
In addition, the Department organized a master class titled 'Achieving a More Inclusive Workplace,' where researcher and regional consultant Linda Sbarbarini discussed the importance of analyzing social data in the workplace and its impact on the development of policies and strategies that foster diversity and inclusion in public institutions.
