The organizers of the sports event in Nad al-Sheba have announced an increase in the prize fund for the winners of the competition to the 12th version – up to 4.5 million dirhams. This confirms the status of this event, organized and supported by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai. The annual event will take place during the month of Ramadan in the Nad al-Sheba sports complex under the division "Unlimited Opportunities." "We are proud to support this sports event, which contributes to a healthy lifestyle and inspires both individuals and society to push boundaries and achieve outstanding results," noted the organizers. A total of over 4 million dirhams is expected for the 11 competitions in Nad al-Sheba. The amounts vary depending on the type of sport: from 1.5 million for the winners in volleyball to 60 thousand for the winners in archery and badminton. The fencing competitions started yesterday evening. Athletes from 13 countries, including Italy, Peru, Egypt, the USA, Russia, and others participate in the competition. The qualifying rounds and finals for fencing are scheduled for two days. The preceding days of the competition will be filled with intense bouts, including world championships in badminton, where international stars will participate, and a tournament in an unusual type of national sport. Also planned is the conduct of combined calendars for other sports, such as crossfit, archery, and basketball on disabled courts, in the coming weeks. The main partner of the event is the company "Insurance Market.ae."
