The aviation monitoring forum, which will be held in Dubai next May, will become a platform for discussing updates and innovations in the field of air traffic control in the Near East. Experts predict that by 2029, the volume of the aviation market in this region will reach 33.7 billion dollars due to investments in the infrastructure of airports totaling 151 billion dollars and air vessels totaling 2.4 billion dollars. Additionally, it is expected that by 2030, around 1058 new aircraft will be delivered to this region.
According to the statement made yesterday, the forum of the entire series, which received support from Dubai's aviation authority, brings together a number of international aviation service providers and experts in this field for discussions of challenges and innovations in the domain of air traffic control. The forum will be held as part of an airport exhibition, which is scheduled from May 6 to 8 at the Dubai International Trade Center under the patronage of Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation, President of Dubai Airports, General Director of Emirates and groups. The exhibition will include connections, navigation, and control systems necessary for ensuring a safe and efficient airspace, providing a high level of service for airports and air companies.
According to the International Council of Airports, by 2042 it is expected that global air traffic will reach 178.1 million flights, with international passenger traffic rising to 8.7 billion people, while domestic traffic will increase to 10.6 billion people in the same year, which provides the forum with an additional impetus and significance. From 2020 to 2030, around 1058 new aircraft are expected to be delivered in the Near East, and the increase in the number of passengers in the region is expected to exceed 9% by 2027.
As emphasized by General Director of Dubai Air Traffic Management Ibrahim Ahli, "leading participants in the field of aviation services are focused on the development and support of optimal use of airspace through the introduction of new systems and technologies of modern air traffic management," highlighting the institution's commitment to advancing from the 1980s and continuing efforts to maintain Dubai's global status as a hub for aviation with a thriving ecosystem and unique connectivity.
At the upcoming airport exhibition, over 120 exhibitors from 20 countries participated, as well as more than 120 buyers from over 35 countries, conducting more than 3500 meetings within the renowned program 'Business Connect'.
