The second part of the National Program for Youth Professionals, created by the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technologies to develop the potential of young national personnel in the fields of standardization and evaluation of conformity, was launched in the presence of the Director of the Federal Youth Agency Khalid Al Naimi, as well as the Doctor Farha Zarauni and Salama Al Aoudi – Deputy Minister on issues of standardization and industrial development. The event took place in Dubai as part of the initiative of the Ramadan Assembly of Youth Councils, titled 'Youth Vision for an Innovative Industrial Future.'
The meeting discussed the strengthening of the positions of youth in the quality infrastructure sector, and also emphasized focusing on the involvement of youth in the program 'Made in the UAE' in the previous years. The importance of active support for youth in strengthening the quality infrastructure, according to the organizers' opinion, lies in the fact that it contributes to the development of industrial and technological sectors, making Emirati products more competitive in regional and global markets.
Director Khalid Al Naimi emphasized the need for the UAE to ensure resources for enhancing the skills and competencies of youth in the community with the goals of the National Youth Strategy 2031, aimed at making them a role model for the entire world in various fields, having priority for the country. The Deputy Minister, Dr. Farha Zarouni, stated that the UAE authorities focus attention on developing youth in the area of quality infrastructure and competitiveness, supporting readiness for the future, including standardization, conformity, accreditation, metrology, and market controls.
The Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technologies conducts the National Program for Youth Professionals jointly with the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), and last year the program facilitated the release of 11 young national personnel, who enhanced the quality infrastructure, supporting the development and competitiveness of national industries and services.
