The general manager of the Grand Hayat hotel and the regional director of the Hayat Hotel Group in Dubai, Fatahi Khajeli, noted that Dubai is an ideal place for organizing international events due to its strategic position as a hub connecting the East and the West. He also added that in terms of business tourism, the emirate experiences a constant increase in demand for leisure tourism, especially during this time of year.
Dubai continues to break tourism records, expecting in 2024 to receive more than 18.72 million international tourists, which is 9% more than in the previous year. These results reflect Dubai's successful strategies for attracting both leisure and business tourism from around the world.
In February of the current year, the hospitality services market in Dubai showed record figures due to the holding of business events and major conferences, as well as the tourism season and entertainment. Room sales reached 93% during the last 10 days, achieving an average level of 93.3% during this period. According to data from the company "Amadeus," specializing in technology in the tourism and travel industry, more than 1.43 million hotel nights were sold within 10 days.
These data only concern hotel rooms, not including thousands of accommodation units for short-term rentals. Record figures in the hospitality market coincide with the events held in Dubai, such as the Gulf Food exhibition 2025 from February 17 to 21, the Dubai International Boat Show from February 19 to 23 at Dubai Harbor, and other large events.
Fatahi Khajeli emphasized that the city is increasingly strengthening its global position as a tourist and business destination, and that the results recorded in February reflect the success of strategies to attract tourists from all over the world for entertainment and business events.
