Ramadan At The Park Celebrates Local Entrepreneurs

The festival "Ramadan Comes to the Park" stimulates small and medium-sized businesses, creating a supportive platform for their owners. The festival gathers musicians, restaurants, and market stalls with various goods - from food and homemade products to accessories and sweets. It started last evening in Zabeel Park in Dubai and runs from iftar to suhoor. The first season of the festival, organized by the Dubai Foundation for Festivals and Retail, offers diverse culinary opportunities, live food preparation, traditional dishes, and Ramadan sweets, as well as cultural and entertaining events in a cozy Arab setting to present an unforgettable experience during the holy month.

Abdullah Al Fahidi, known as "Abdullah the Butcher", shared his experience of feeding people at suhoor and inherited this profession from his grandfather. He walks nightly around Dubai, and his grandfather used to roam the old neighborhoods of Dubai. This tradition has lasted several hours and concludes with gifts before the holiday. He emphasized that he would continue this tradition throughout his life.

The festival organizers aimed to unite families in Zabeel Park to enjoy the Ramadan atmosphere. Festival participants present various crafts, such as "Akalil", handmade embroidery that started many years ago at home. Christy Abbi Harb, owner of "Asalya Al-Mashriq", offers various types of honey, including lemon and black, encouraging buyers to pay attention to certified components when selecting honey.

Other festival participants also showcase handcrafted decorations, cashmere shawls, leather goods, and specialty desserts, thus continuing family traditions in business. Festival participants expressed hope that the event would help them connect with the UAE market and promote their quality products, as Dubai supports businesses offering high-quality production. The events aim to support small and medium enterprises by providing a platform to reach a broad audience.
