The artist from the UAE, Mohamed Kazem, presented a composition titled "Trends (Instruments)" at the Art Dubai exhibition, which concludes tomorrow. In this work, he combined the coordinates of Dubai with coordinates from around the world, displayed on screens, inviting visitors to participate interactively and making them part of the price, representing both the origin and the universality of the exhibition simultaneously.

Kazem revealed: "The main theme of this series, which I started in 1999, is direction, but there is always a supplementary theme in each work. This piece was created in 2022 in the form of video in the Al Hamriya area and was quite unique. This is an attempt to respond to the events of the global exhibition, which attracts a large number of artists from around the world."

The artwork "Trends (Instruments)" underscores the fluid exchange of resources, natural fluidity, and the connection between distant beaches in the emulation of the path of Dubai to the future and its global role for society.

These works on commission require significant material resources for their creation and demand physical interaction, studying the emptiness and space, levels of lighting. Kazem also highlighted the importance of naming art through books, education in the field of art, especially in schools, and noted the significance of the Art Dubai festival as a platform for cultural events and presentations of diverse commissioned works.

Kazem emphasized the diversity of the artistic scene in the UAE, noting that the younger generation has more opportunities in the field of art today, while the artistic scene becomes increasingly significant thanks to the outstanding team in this area. In the work, participants include the coordinates of Dubai and the entire world, displayed on screens, which contributes to a visual blend and an endless flow.
