
During the opening of the Artificial Intelligence Week in Dubai, His Highness emphasized that the city is not only ready to accept the upcoming transformations in various sectors but also actively shapes them, using artificial intelligence to improve the quality of life and unlock new possibilities. He noted that Dubai possesses the vision, infrastructure, and capabilities necessary for leading the next wave of global development of artificial intelligence.
His Highness emphasized that the future will be determined by how well governance, institutions, and society integrate artificial intelligence into their strategies, prioritizing public services, education, and economics. The launch of the Dubai Week of Artificial Intelligence includes the AI Retreat – a high-level event for discussing the adoption and regulation of artificial intelligence, as well as the Dubai AI Assembly, which will host delegations from countries, actions regarding artificial intelligence, and a series of sessions and masterclasses on the future application of artificial intelligence in various sectors.
Dubai AI Week will encompass a wide range of high-level events over five days, starting with the AI Retreat on April 21 at the Museum of the Future. The AI Retreat will gather 150 representatives from governments and global experts in artificial intelligence to discuss data governance, infrastructure, economics, investments, and talent development.
The Dubai Assembly for AI, occurring parallelly over the week, will focus on accelerating the adoption of artificial intelligence in various sectors, improving quality of life, stimulating economic growth, and creating societies ready for the future. Among the notable events this week are the Global Prompt Engineering Championship, Dubai AI Festival, and Machines Can See Summit.
The events are organized by the Dubai Center for Artificial Intelligence under the auspices of the Dubai Future Foundation. His Highness noted: "More than 10 years ago, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, foresaw a future where every government service would be accessible at a distance using a flexible hand. The gathering at the Dubai Assembly for AI will unite delegations from 15 countries, as well as over 25 global technology companies, 18 government entities, 20 universities and research centers, and 60 startups in artificial intelligence, promoting advanced innovations.
