A meeting of the regular general assembly of the Society for Culture and Science was held in Dubai with the participation of the chairman of the board of directors of the Society, Bilal Al-Badur, and the vice-president Ali Obaid Al-Hamli, administrative director Dr. Salah Al-Kasimi, financial director Jamali Al-Hayat, members of the board of directors and the public. The delegate of the Public Committee for Development, Said Ma'id Al-Mahairy, was present at the meeting.
Bilal Al-Badur began the meeting by introducing himself and expressing gratitude to the participants of the general assembly for their continuous support and active participation. He emphasized that the Society will continue its activities following the path laid by the founders and pioneers, in accordance with the directives of great leadership, confirming that this participation is a strong stimulus for preserving cultural and social continuity.
A plan for the cultural activities of the Society and the financial budget for 2025 was presented, as well as an overview of the events of 2024, distinguished by dynamics and diversity, including seminars, art exhibitions, musical and cultural evenings, as well as the celebration of the first anniversary of awarding the Arab Poetry Prize "Sultan bin Ali Al-Owais Poetry Prize", as well as diverse publications and participation in numerous international book fairs both within the country and beyond its borders.
The journal "Arabic Letters" continues to be published, a unique specialization in the issues of Arabic calligraphy. Participation and events of the scientific club OAE were considered, including training, and the acquisition of the club of the multiplicity of awards and grateful letters.
