More than twenty years ago, the famous Iraqi photographer Karim Sahib took his camera and set off to explore the world in search of unique moments. His travels spanned through empty spaces and mountains, war zones and festive events, documenting more than ten thousand images. After completing his long journey, Sahib presented his experience in a book titled "The Eye That Reaches the Moment." The book was published by the Abu-Dhabi Center for Arabic Language as part of the "Editions" project and the series "Leaders Among Us."

Speaking at the ceremony for signing the book, Karim Sahib noted: "My photographs are for the first time accompanied by texts in Arabic after they were published with English, French, and Spanish descriptions." The book contains 400 images, mostly in close-up format, appearing in leading media outlets and archived in the UN archives. The cover features one of the photographs taken in the empty Liwa in the UAE, attracting attention with its beauty and ideal lighting, successfully capturing the richness of nature in this astonishing place.

The content of the book covers the period from 2005 to 2025 and includes various hunting prices, festivals, architecture, and sports events. Each image tells its own story and reveals Sahib's philosophy on capturing moments. He emphasizes that a person is the main value in the photograph and should agree to be its main hero.

Karim Sahib, who received the title "photographer of the year" in Iraq, asserts that photography should be not only beautiful but also meaningful, uncovering current themes and emphasizing the significance of each detail. He has a broad academic background that enables him to take pictures that resonate with people from different cultures without translation.

Working for a French information agency, Karim Sahib has captured faces of war and peace, and he has also visited countries such as Iraq, Lebanon, and Afghanistan. He has always maintained his passion for beauty, even in moments of hardship, achieving a delicate balance between light and shadow. Sahib has developed a special connection with the UAE, where he created stunning images that have entered the list of the best in the world, recognizing the subtle invisible balances between the past and the future that lie at the core of the uniqueness of this country.
