Dubai Government strengthens its position as a global center for culture and creative initiatives through a new partnership between Dubai Culture and City of Arabia. The agreement focuses on supporting the cultural and creative sectors in the Emirate, promoting talents and innovations in various fields.
One of the key projects is the Mini Forest—an ecological initiative, developed by the Miyawaki method, which will be located in the "Terrace" area of City of Arabia. This project, presented at the ICOM Dubai 2025 conference, will showcase the principles of sustainable development. The forest will consist of local species such as sidr, samer, ghaf, and arak (musk), which are adapted to the harsh climate and contribute to environmental conservation. Sheikhah Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum personally attended the launch ceremony of the first phase of the project, emphasizing its symbolic significance for the preservation of natural and cultural heritage in the region.
**Key Quotes** — "This partnership places us at the forefront of culture and empowers us to be pioneers in this field," said Sheikhah Latifa. She also noted that the collaboration with Dubai Culture will help write a new chapter in Dubai's history, establishing it as a global hub for talents and creativity.
— "ICom Dubai 2025 will be a turning point in the development of culture in the emirate, supporting our ambitious course towards leadership," said Rima al Hashmi, Minister and Managing Director of City of Arabia.
**Cultural Measures and Events** From November 11 to 17, Dubai will host the 26th General Assembly of the International Council of Museums (ICOM). The conference, opening on November 12 in Salzburg, will bring together over 4,000 museum professionals. This event will be a platform for sharing experiences and promoting creative economic development.
During the conference from November 12 to 18, the second art festival "Die Dubai" will take place, where artists from three emirates will present their works. Also, "Dom iskusstva" (House of Arts) will be opened—a space for exhibitions, discourses, and lectures.
**Long-term Goals** The partnership was established to create a unique ecosystem for the development of talents and the museum industry in Dubai. The Mini Forest project and cultural initiatives will affirm the principles of sustainable development and intergenerational dialogue, laying new foundations for global cultural heritage.
