The seventh edition of the Emirates International Poster Festival (EIPF) will open with a ceremony at the Emirates Forum for Culture and Sciences in Dubai next month, featuring over 500 selected posters from a total of 1,366 entries submitted by 683 designers from 71 countries worldwide. This highlights the significant role of visual design in uniting peoples and building bridges. Held under the theme 'Year of the Community: Design as a Bridge Between Cultures, a Builder of Communities,' the festival explores how visual communication can enhance inclusion, celebrate diversity, and deepen human connections across geographical, cultural, and digital borders. The exhibition offers a comprehensive look at contemporary designers' perspectives on identity, belonging, collaboration, and collective narratives, emphasizing design's role in fostering more cohesive societies. An international jury of 20 experts from five continents evaluated the works based on the depth of the message, originality, visual impact, innovation, and ability to stimulate dialogue. Six special awards will be announced during the opening ceremony. The guest of honor for this edition is Italian Armando Milani, a world-renowned pioneer of visual design and poster art. The exhibition will be open to the public at the Emirates Forum until December 31st.
