The musical «Grease: The Musical» was staged at the Dubai Opera. This famous West End musical revisits the story of school love between Danny and Sandy. Through dynamic scenography that heavily relies on the use of lighting and dimness on stage, the musical immerses the audience in the atmosphere of the 1970s. From the very first scene, the songs and costumes transport us back to the spirit of Rydell High School, where the story takes place. To the magical rhythm of the dances and rock and roll, the love story between the charming Danny and the sweet, innocent Sandy, who has recently transferred to Danny's school, begins. The show is full of romantic moments and touches on the feelings of young people, showing how they face their emotions—between denial and ignoring or pretending to be indifferent, and how these actions can affect the other person's feelings. They are joined by a group of young and talented stars to add magic to this timeless story that has captivated generations. Also starring in the production are Laura Tyrell as Miss Lynch, Craig Perry as Vince Fontaine/Officer Calhoun, and Darcy James as Teen Angel/Johnny Casino, who added extra experience and depth to this production.
