Global Village in Dubai has announced its readiness to celebrate the 54th UAE Union Day with a series of delightful events and activities, extending from November 27th to December 3rd, under the theme 'We Are Challengers'. These celebrations honor the spirit of the union and its strong cultural ties, transforming Global Village into a vibrant canvas of color and creativity, pulsating with unique shows and experiences that express the pride of the UAE in its national identity and cultural diversity.
The entire Global Village will be adorned with festive decorations inspired by the colors of the UAE flag, immersing the gates, landmarks, and streets in a lively atmosphere. Furthermore, 10 art installations inspired by authentic Emirati heritage will be featured throughout the destination, creating distinctive photo opportunities for families and friends.
From December 1st to 3rd at 9:00 PM, the skies above Global Village will come alive with a spectacular fireworks display that paints the colors of the UAE flag across the horizon. On December 1st and 2nd, drone shows inspired by the nation's identity will add a stunning, modern touch to the festivities.
The main stage, 'Opret', will host a dance musical titled 'From the Desert to the Space', performed twice daily from December 1st to 3rd. The show celebrates the 54th Union Day through an impactful artistic performance that combines expressive dance and visual art, embodying what the union means to the diverse and cohesive community of this nation. Traditional dances like Yowla and Harbiya will also be performed in various areas of the destination and on the main stage, offering guests a rich experience of authenticity and heritage. On December 1st at 9:00 PM, Gulf artist Khaled Mohammed will hold a concert on the main stage, further enhancing the national festive atmosphere.
During these national celebrations, guests at Global Village can look forward to unique shopping experiences. The UAE Pavilion, the '971 from the Community' Pavilion, and the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Humanitarian Foundation for Humanitarian Work will feature a wide range of UAE-specific products for Union Day, highlighting the creations of Emirati families. The Traditional Village, under the Hamdan bin Mohammed Centre for Heritage, will offer unique shopping options to explore authentic Emirati handicrafts.
