The Sultan bin Ali Al Owais Cultural Foundation celebrated its 19th award ceremony, honoring winners in several categories with the presence of distinguished guests and a special musical performance.


UAE Cultural Foundation Awards Its Prestigious Prize

The Sultan bin Ali Al Owais Cultural Foundation concluded the award ceremony for its 19th edition. The three-day event featured a photo exhibition of the winners, a session on their creative experiences, a book-signing for their publications by the foundation, as well as two lectures by critic Hamid Al Hamdani and novelist Inam Kajji. The award ceremony was attended by UAE Minister of Culture Sheikh Salem bin Khalid Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees Dr. Anwar Muhammad Al Qorqashi, Egyptian Minister of Culture Ahmed Fouad Hanafy, and members of the foundation's board, alongside prominent literary, cultural, and media figures from the UAE and the Arab world. Following the national anthem and a short film about the foundation, commemorative trophies were presented. The winner of the 'Poetry' category was Iraqi poet Hamid Said; the 'Prose, Novel, and Playwriting' category went to Iraqi novelist Inam Kajji; the 'Literary Studies and Criticism' category was awarded to Moroccan critic Hamid Al Hamdani; and the 'Future Humanitarian Studies' prize was given to Tunisian thinker Abdeljelil Tamimi. The gala concert was highlighted by the 'Fujairah Academy of Fine Arts', which performed Arab, traditional, and Gulf melodies with 45 musicians. At the end of the concert, Dr. Fatima Al Sayeg, a board member, presented the Al Owais commemorative trophy to the academy in recognition of their outstanding performance.
