The Dubai Culture and Arts Authority has launched the 'Donate Your Books' campaign, aimed at fostering knowledge exchange within the community and encouraging people to donate books. This initiative seeks to preserve books from being lost, ensure everyone can benefit from them, challenge stereotypes about second-hand publications, and raise awareness of the importance of these works.
Through the campaign, the authority urges various community groups to donate their used books by handing them in to reception staff at the Safa, Rashidiya, Manhoul, Umm Suqeim, Twar, Hor Al Anz, and Hatta libraries. Special teams will be responsible for collecting, sorting, classifying, and repackaging the books to make them available for readers' use.
