The Association of Theater Artists has announced the start of preparations for the 19th edition of the UAE Child Theater Festival, which will kick off on December 21. The selection committee, comprising Walid Zaabi, artist Mohammed Saeed Al-Sultani, and artist Mohammed Juma Ali, will watch several plays and choose the best ones to be performed. The selection will be based on the play's concept and its suitability for children's imagination, in addition to ethical, behavioral, and educational criteria, the artistic value of the theatrical work, and the directorial vision, as well as its harmony with the play's concept. In turn, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Association of Theater Artists and Head of the Festival, Ismail Abdullah, said: 'From one edition to another, the festival continues its presence in the UAE scene through carefully selected shows, which we hope will serve as a tool to deepen thought and awareness among children, and remain an important space for entertainment and benefit. We always strive to develop the festival and maintain the momentum it has achieved in previous editions, determined to make the new edition meet all expectations and be exceptional on all levels.'
