Treasures from the Titanic continue to fascinate the world, and the latest example is a 18-karat gold-inlaid pocket watch from the "Jorgensen" brand. It once belonged to Isidor Strauss, a first-class passenger on the Titanic, and was recently sold for $2.34 million, setting a record for any Titanic artifact. According to reports, after the sinking, the watch, which was a gift to Isidor for his 43rd birthday in 1888, was recovered and returned to his family. The watch was auctioned at "Henry Aldridge & Son" in England, reaching a price of £1.78 million (approximately $2.34 million). Additionally, a note written by Mrs. Strauss on official Titanic stationery while on board was sold for £100,000 ($131,000). The previous auction record for Titanic memorabilia was held by another gold pocket watch given to the captain of a lifeboat that saved over 700 passengers, which sold last year for £1.56 million (about $2.05 million).
