Mohammed bin Rashid Library Announces December Events

In December, the Mohammed bin Rashid Library organizes a series of events combining art, volunteering, education, and music to offer a comprehensive educational and entertaining experience for all community segments. The first event, 'Volunteering and Innovation Expo,' brings together a select group of volunteers and innovators for an evening that presents a model for the value of giving and its impact on society, in celebration of International Volunteer Day. During the event, the library hosts an art exhibition by volunteer artists showcasing works that reflect the connection between art and the spirit of community initiative, alongside a live drawing session presented by volunteers from people of determination. In collaboration with the National Archives and Library, the Mohammed bin Rashid Library hosts the 'Importance of Organizing and Managing Documents and Archives in Government Entities.' In celebration of World Arabic Language Day (December 18), the library welcomes artist Marcel Khalifa in a special dialogue session where he discusses the most significant classical poems he has set to music and performed, shedding light on the deep relationship between Arabic music and poetry, and how classical poetry has become a bridge for contemplation and beauty through its melodies. As part of 'Cineulyo,' the library screens a selection of five short films from around the world. In line with its vision to support national musical talents, the library organizes an oud evening featuring a number of young Emirati artists in a night that celebrates the aesthetics of Eastern maqam and the spirit of contemporary creativity.
