The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation has launched the 13th edition of the 'Be Arabi' initiative, a wide-ranging program of community and recreational activities aimed at promoting the use of the Arabic language in daily life. This year's events are being held across nine shopping malls in various emirates of the UAE, as well as in parallel events in Bahrain and Kuwait. The initiative coincides with World Arabic Language Day, which is celebrated on December 18th. It features a series of interactive activities and online contests held in shopping malls or through the 'Be Arabi' digital platforms and social media, enabling participation from all age groups. Jamal bin Huwaireb, Executive Director of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation, stated: 'The 'Be Arabi' initiative embodies one of the most important knowledge projects that the Foundation has been consolidating for over a decade, with the aim of enhancing the status of the Arabic language among young generations and connecting them with the beauty of their language and identity.' He added that the initiative continues its positive impact year after year through innovative activities that allow the public to interact with the Arabic language in engaging and inspiring ways. 'We ensure in each edition to expand the scope of events within and outside the country, affirming the UAE's role in supporting intellectual and knowledge initiatives and enhancing the presence of our language in various digital and social spaces,' he concluded.
