Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler's Representative in the Al Dhafra Region, the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture & Heritage organizes the Al Dhafra Championships. These competitions are a significant event for preserving and promoting the region's cultural heritage. They aim to attract youth to traditional sports and crafts and strengthen community cohesion. Participants from various emirates compete in disciplines such as camel racing, archery contests, and traditional dhow sailing races. The event also includes exhibitions showcasing local folklore and handicrafts.
