The award saw a wide international competition, attracting around 600,000 educational content creators from the Middle East and North Africa, Africa, the UK, and the US. Approximately 108,000 participants were able to meet the award's conditions and criteria, reflecting the high level of competition and the quality of the content presented. They produced educational and entertaining content that helps simplify knowledge, motivate learning, and have a positive impact on society. Participants in the award created over 320,000 video pieces (posts/videos) on the TikTok platform under the hashtag #EducatorAward, reflecting the diversity of ideas and educational approaches presented by content creators. A specialized jury selected three finalists, and Abdullah Annan, a science content creator with 6.7 million followers on TikTok, won the $100,000 award for his distinguished contributions to advancing digital learning and making knowledge accessible to all. In addition to the winner, the list of finalists included: Dr. Amy Boynton, a historian, writer, and content creator who covers various historical topics in a simple and engaging style, with 1.2 million followers on TikTok, and Matt Green, a content creator, TV host, and author who turned the science topics he teaches his students in class into 30-second musical clips, with 1.4 million followers on the platform. This widespread interest confirms the growing status of digital educational content and the role of social platforms in supporting knowledge and empowering content creators from around the world within clear regulatory frameworks and professional standards.
