Dubai Airports has launched a series of special welcoming moments for travelers arriving from Kuwait this week. Organized in collaboration with the airport community (oneDXB), the initiative celebrates "Emirates and Kuwait: Brothers Forever" week, highlighting the deep fraternal ties between the two nations.
The welcoming activities span across all passenger terminals and involve cooperation with the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs, Dubai Customs, Dubai Duty Free, and Dubai Airports Police. Travelers are greeted with dedicated arrival lanes, cultural performances, and thematic decorations.
Digital screens throughout the terminals showcase the strong bilateral relations, while guests receive gifts including shopping vouchers and SIM cards. The initiative also involves the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Emirates Airline, du, and the "Huwati" team.
The scale of air travel between the countries underscores these bonds. In 2025, Dubai International Airport welcomed approximately 1.6 million passengers from Kuwait on 11,500 flights operated by four airlines, reflecting the robust connectivity and historical links between the UAE and Kuwait.
