
The eighth season of the Arabic Reading Challenge reached its conclusion in Dubai, where participants await awards from Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, Ruler of Dubai. Winners of various categories of the competition will be awarded prizes, with a total sum amounting to over 11 million dirhams.
In this season, winners in the 'Diaspora' category will receive prizes ranging from 30,000 to 100,000 dirhams, depending on the location. In the nomination 'Hero of the Arabic Reading Challenge for People with Disabilities,' winners will receive between 50,000 and 200,000 dirhams. The school recognized as the 'Outstanding School' will be awarded one million dirhams, while second and third places will receive 300,000 and 500,000 dirhams respectively. Additionally, for the title of 'Outstanding Mentor,' prizes will be awarded at 50,000, 100,000, and 300,000 dirhams.
Participants and guests of the event were welcomed at Dubai Airport, where the organizers provided them with all necessary accommodations. The Arabic Reading Challenge gathered over 28 million participants from more than 50 countries and 229,620 schools, under the guidance of 154,643 mentors. The total prize fund of the competition amounts to 11 million dirhams, with a main prize for the winner of 500,000 dirhams.
