
The channel "Dubai Sport", belonging to the company "Dubai Media", has completed preparations for the broadcast and coverage of the Arab Clubs Champions tournament in football, which resumes after almost a 9-year hiatus. This reflects the importance of the tournament, its history, and contribution to enhancing the sports life at the local and Arab levels.
The tournament preparations are aimed at the framework of the "Dubai Media" striving to follow all sports events taking place in the UAE and the countries of the Soviet Cooperation of the Persian Gulf. A full media coverage of many other world sports matches and tournaments will also be provided.
The championship, starting tomorrow and consisting of a group stage divided into two groups. The first group includes the teams "Al Nasr" from the UAE, "Ahly Sana" from Yemen, "Zafar" from Oman, and "Dahuk" from Iraq. The second group includes "Al Arabi" from Qatar, "Al Rifa" from Bahrain, "Al Qadisiyah" from Kuwait, and "Al Ittihad" from Saudi Arabia. Two teams from each group will proceed to the playoffs, where the first team from the first group will face the second team from the second, and vice versa.
Hassan Habib, director of the "Dubai Sport" channel, emphasized the importance of general media coverage of the tournament. He noted that the sporting tournament, regardless of the hiatus, attracts attention with its influence on the football arena, shaping the sports culture in the region, and contributing to the development of local teams.
Abd al-Rahman Amin, managing sports channels in "Dubai Media", called the tournament "the wedding of football" for the residents of the region, highlighting its significance and ability to bring it to the center of attention. He emphasized that the tournament contributes to building a strong infrastructure for Arab football and raises awareness levels in various aspects of organization and media coverage.
