Under the title "Residents of the Moon" the Musical Theater of Dubai presented a show that immersed viewers in the world of youth problems. Director Abdulla Al Mahiri laid out his authentic vision of reality in this production, leaving a message about the necessity to transition from adolescence and become aware of the role of a victim.
In the spectacle, music played a significant role, supplementing the plot and underscoring youth problems. The musical accompaniment combined Indian and Western motifs, set to the music of Abdullaziz al-Humeis.
The plot encompasses diverse themes, such as youth ambitions, support, and the importance of family. It shows how crucial it is to maintain family ties in a person's life, especially during adolescence, and how their absence can lead to loss and confusion.
The spectacle also touches on themes of personal identity through the history of the main character, who seeks compensation for the absence of family in various activities. Music, lighting effects, and dynamic stagecraft help convey the atmosphere and transfer the audience from scenes of different episodes.
The director also draws attention to the significance of family relationships throughout the history of the hero, who strives to fill the void created by the absence of family. Social activities, such as excursions, trips to modern exhibitions, and theatrical performances, become attempts to fill this vacuum.
In this way, "Residents of the Moon" represents not just a spectacle, but a deep immersion into musical and theatrical art, as well as the evolving and experienced moments of the heroes.
