Emirates Hosts Cultural Events at Mohammed bin Rashid Library

Rashid Sharar is one of the most famous poets in the UAE, who began his career in the 1980s and left a vibrant mark in the world of folk poetry. In memory of the departed artist Djaber Djassim, the songs of whom have become part of the cultural heritage of the UAE, the library offers its visitors a tribute concert organized with the participation of artist Saifa Ali, of a national musical ensemble led by maestro Abdullaziz Madani. In this concert, melodies from Djassim will resonate in an atmosphere of remembrance and respect for the fact that the departed artist gifted the world a blend of beautiful emirate verses and timeless melodies, enriching the history of local art.

As part of its mission to strengthen literary and poetic atmosphere, the library organizes an evening titled "Poetic Imprint," which will combine poetry, literary criticism, and music to discuss the book "Imaginary Parallel in Verses" by Dr. Talal Al Junaibi, and will also include readings in the style of sound signatures and play on percussion instruments.

In November, the library will also present in collaboration with the Zakhraf Art Workshop an interactive masterclass called "Golden Thread in Arabic Calligraphy," giving participants the opportunity to study the art of Arabic calligraphy using sustainable materials, uniting in itself the beauty of cultural heritage and contemporary ecological trends.

In cooperation with the Japanese General Consulate, the library organizes a masterclass in Ikebana, traditional Japanese art of flower composition. The library will also host the literary forum, organized with the support of "Dubai Culture," on November 26 and 27.

November ends for the library with the celebration of "United Day," with a diverse program featuring artistic exhibitions, interactive masterclasses, cultural and traditional events. One of the first events of November will be the Dubai Fitness Challenge 30x30 held at the Mohammada bin Rashid Library, promoting a healthy and active lifestyle through the use of modern library equipment.

Don’t miss the performance of Rashid Sharar on November 15 in the evening titled "The Poet's Path." The Mohammada bin Rashid Library in November offers a rich program of events uniting literature, art, and community initiatives, oriented towards interests of the entire community in line with its mission to strengthen cultural and knowledge, supporting Dubai’s position as a center of cultural influence in the Middle East and globally.
