
In the third quarter of 2024, the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority completed the planned technical maintenance of 14 major roads and 9 key intersections in various areas of the city. The General Director of the Traffic and Roads Authority, Hussain Al-Banna, highlighted the importance of the Authority's obligations to carry out comprehensive technical maintenance of all main roads and their affiliates. He noted that this work contributes to urban growth and the development of Dubai aimed at improving the quality of life for residents and visitors to the city.
"The RTA uses the most modern technologies for road maintenance to ensure the highest standards of quality and safety," he added. The work on technical maintenance, implemented in cooperation with the classification of roads, affected highways, local roads, arterial and internal roads in six residential areas and one commercial area.

In the third quarter of 2024, maintenance works on key roads throughout the emirate included updating road surface conditions based on its state, repairing damages caused by natural factors, and replacing damaged asphalt and concrete sections in affected areas. This allows for precise monitoring of the operational condition of road assets, predicting the service life of roads, and determining necessary measures to maintain operational efficiency and structural integrity of the road network, ensuring smooth traffic flow and increased safety for all road users. Within the framework of these efforts in the third quarter of 2024, planned technical maintenance was carried out on key streets across the entire emirate, including restoring road surface conditions according to its state, removing damages caused by natural factors, and replacing deteriorated asphalt and concrete sections in affected areas. This allows for accurate monitoring of the operational condition of road assets, predicting maintenance schedules and determining necessary measures to support operational efficiency and structural integrity throughout the whole road network.
