
The Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) announced the start of preparations for the third edition of the 'Dubai Youth Music Festival'. The goal of the festival is to discover emerging talents in various fields of music, support them, develop their skills, and encourage them to continue their creative passion. This is in addition to supporting musical arts centers to contribute to the development of the local music sector.
The third edition of the festival will be hosted at the Union Museum on November 20 of this year, where more than 85 talented individuals from various Emirates will participate. These participants will compete for festival awards in five categories, including Best Arabic Vocal and Classical Performance, Best Piano Performance, and Best Musical Band.
On another note, the poet Dr. Arif Al Sheikh was awarded the 'Personality of the Year in Music' in recognition of his long contributions to enriching the local cultural scene. In this context, members of the festival's judging committee were announced, who will evaluate the performances of the competitors.
The director of the Performing Arts Management at Dubai Culture, Fatima Al Jalah, stated that the aim of the 'Dubai Youth Music Festival' is to provide a creative environment that helps support and empower talented individuals and open avenues for them to continue their artistic journey.
It is mentioned that the festival targets young musicians, singers, bands, and instrumentalists from different ages and genders in the state. Participation requires the submission of original and contemporary musical works, both copyrighted and unpublished.
