In the presence of Mohammed bin Rashid, Azizi Developments announced a contribution of 3 billion dirhams to support the Fathers' Endowment campaign. The announcement was made during the closing ceremony of the 5th edition of the Arab Hope Makers initiative in Dubai. This contribution will be directed towards the establishment of a humanitarian medical complex, including a hospital, a research center, and a medical training center. The commitment is the largest individual contribution from the private sector in the UAE's history for the benefit of humanitarian goals. The Fathers' Endowment campaign, coinciding with the month of Ramadan, aims to create a sustainable fund of 1 billion dirhams dedicated to supporting medical assistance for those in need across the UAE.
At the ceremony, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Secretary-General of the Mohammed bin Rashid Global Initiative, and Mirwais Azizi, Founder and Chairman of Azizi Developments, participated. During the event, it was announced that this contribution became the first announced support for the Fathers' Endowment campaign, an initiative under the Mohammed bin Rashid Global Initiative.
Al Gergawi emphasized the significant role of such contributions in supporting the UAE's strategy as a global humanitarian hub and enhancing assistance to communities in need around the world, especially in ensuring access to essential needs like medical aid. He also underscored that the Fathers' Endowment campaign aims to establish a sustainable fund that will provide healthcare assistance for those in need. Mirwais Azizi stated, "We are honored to be among the first to make a contribution to this noble initiative aimed at establishing a fund, launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Our company is dedicated to social responsibility and promoting the culture of philanthropy within the UAE, in line with the vision of our country's leadership and the mission of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum."
Azizi Developments previously donated 600 million dirhams in March 2024 for the creation of an educational endowment in Dubai as part of the Mothers' Endowment campaign, launched by Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum during the previous Ramadan. This contribution was aimed at promoting the concept of charitable foundations and strengthening the UAE's position in philanthropic activities through the creation of a sustainable fund to ensure access to medical assistance for those in need groups. This campaign aims to provide crucial medical treatment and healthcare assistance to the poorest, most vulnerable communities, proposing hope and ensuring broader access to medical services for underserved populations.
