The Director-General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, stated on Saturday that the world is on the brink of a new pandemic. According to him, the current situation with infectious diseases requires immediate and coordinated action from all countries. "We cannot afford to repeat the mistakes made during COVID-19," he emphasized. Ghebreyesus called on governments to strengthen healthcare systems and invest in the development of new vaccines. He also noted that it is crucial to ensure equitable access to medical resources for all countries, regardless of their economic status.
