As a result of the fire, approximately 12,500 acres of forest territory were burned, which is equivalent to 50.6 square kilometers. The fire started on Sunday evening in the area of a forest reserve. The fire spread to a national park while firefighters were still battling the flame in nearby areas. As a result, no one lost their life, which is considered a significant success in the fight against the fires. Firefighters and rescuers worked all day to contain the blaze and prevent its spread to adjacent lands. According to them, strong winds hindered extinguishing efforts, but thanks to their efforts, they managed to prevent more significant destruction. However, the process of extinguishing the fire is still ongoing. "This was a very difficult and dangerous day for us, but we are proud that we managed to prevent human casualties and significant material losses," said the head of the local fire safety service.
