Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a phone conversation with Sergey Lavrov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. The discussion centered on current regional developments, with a particular focus on the situations unfolding in Syria and Lebanon.
Both diplomats also delved into various matters of mutual interest regarding the strategic relations and comprehensive partnership shared between their respective nations. The conversation highlighted aspects such as cultural exchange and economic cooperation, key pillars in the strong bond between the UAE and Russia.
In a statement, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed expressed the UAE's keenness to continue enhancing collaboration with Russia across different sectors for the benefit of both countries. "The UAE values its close ties with Russia and remains committed to furthering these relations for the mutual prosperity of our nations," he said.
Sergey Lavrov echoed these sentiments and reaffirmed Russia's dedication to strengthening the partnership with the UAE. The ministers agreed to maintain ongoing communication and coordination on regional and international issues of common concern to promote peace and stability.
