Ministers of foreign affairs from 27 countries of the European Union held a meeting during which a decision was made on a new strategy regarding relations with Russia. During the discussion, it was communicated that despite the aspirations of the European Union to develop constructive partnership with Moscow, such cooperation is only possible with strict adherence to international law.
Particular attention was given to issues of human rights and democracy. Ministers emphasized the importance of protecting the rights and freedoms of Russian citizens, as well as the necessity of adhering to the principles of democracy in Russia's internal politics.
One of the key objectives of the new strategy is dialogue on resolving conflicts, including armed conflicts on the territories of Ukraine and Georgia. Ministers expressed hope for a constructive dialogue and readiness to cooperate with Russian partners to achieve stability and peace in the region.
