A.R.C. Launches a New Announcement

The face to face conflict besides — this is the title of the announcement made by the International Committee for Rescue (ICR), a non-governmental organization, on the main page. The announcement contains a list of countries with human rights violations that have been identified over the past years. Among these countries are Syria, Iraq, Myanmar, Eastern Ukraine, Central African Republic, and others.

According to Helene Tolman, director of public relations at ICR, the announcement itself is not an accusation against the countries for specific violations, but an attempt to draw attention to the fact that they occur and require action from the global community.

"We often see how conflicts and crises emerge from headlines of news, but often the violations of human rights, which are pervasive, persistent, and systematic, remain unnoticed," said Tolman.

The announcement contains suggestions for solving about 20 crises and conflicts, and also calls for increased investments in peaceful resolution of conflicts and humanitarian aid.
