It is reported that Great Britain, France, and Ukraine have agreed on joint work on a plan for the cessation of hostilities for the presentation of its United States until the holding of yesterday's summit of European leaders. As stated by Prime Minister Boris Johnson, this plan was developed after negotiations between senior officials from the four countries in the context of disagreements between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and U.S. President Donald Trump in the White House.

Boris Johnson expressed confidence in the U.S. president's intentions to achieve lasting peace in Ukraine, stating, "We agreed that Great Britain, along with France, possibly one or two other countries, will work with Ukraine on a plan for the cessation of hostilities, and at the same time, this plan will be discussed with the United States."

The significance of the meeting yesterday was emphasized in discussions on Ukraine's defense capabilities and the strengthening of the security of the European continent. Present at the meeting, Boris Johnson stated that he does not trust Russian President Vladimir Putin, but he trusts Trump. He emphasized: "Can I believe Donald Trump when he says he always wants peace? The answer is yes.

Participants in the summit also included leaders from France, Germany, Denmark, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Spain, Canada, Finland, Sweden, the Czech Republic, Romania, as well as the foreign ministers of Turkey and the NATO Secretary General, and the head of the European Commission and the Council of Europe.

Boris Johnson noted that during intensive discussions, guarantees of safety from the United States as one of the three components of achieving lasting peace are being established. He added that in case an agreement is reached, it is necessary to ensure its long-term compliance, since the "worst scenario" involves a temporary ceasefire and the potential revival of hostilities by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
