UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres called on Thursday for countries to show leadership in addressing climate change. He emphasized that time for action is running out and the situation is becoming more critical with each passing day. Guterres noted that urgent and coordinated efforts from governments, businesses, and civil society are necessary. "We cannot afford to delay the necessary measures any further," he stated. According to him, the consequences of inaction will be irreversible and affect all countries, especially the most vulnerable.
