The Director General of the Dubai Community Development Authority, Hessa bint Isa Bu Humaid, confirmed that the Emirati woman has successfully benefited from the diverse opportunities provided by the state, proving her competence and excellence in various sectors. This has made the Emirates an inspiring global model in supporting women and gender balance. She highlighted the advanced ranks the country achieves annually in related global competitiveness indices.
This was stated during a dialogue session organized by the Dubai Women Establishment under the "Empowerment Plus" program for the heads of women's committees in government and semi-government entities. The program aims to enhance the professional and leadership capabilities of the Emirati woman and develop communication skills and effective presence in professional and community forums.
"Empowerment Plus," which spans a full year, is one of the distinctive leadership programs launched by the Dubai Women Establishment. It includes a series of specialized events and activities, covering courses in leadership and professional development, artificial intelligence, and mental health, along with meetings with officials and inspiring leaders. The goal is to transfer expertise and build an effective network among the participants.
Hessa Bu Humaid stated that this leadership program aligns with the UAE's steadfast approach to supporting women, praising the efforts of the wife of the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of the Interior, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Women Establishment. Her support for women across all sectors through sustainable initiatives and programs contributes to women's career development, enhances their active participation in comprehensive development, and cements the UAE's global standing.
She added that the Emirati woman has distinguished herself over more than five decades with a sense of responsibility, determination, and creativity. She noted that the available opportunities today open wide horizons for continuing this success and enhancing her contribution to various development fields.
Bu Humaid praised the diverse initiatives of the Dubai Women Establishment to boost women's contributions to the national economy and government work, and to empower them to represent the country honorably on the global stage. She highlighted the establishment's success in organizing three editions of the "Global Women's Forum" in 2016, 2020, and 2024, and in attracting global leaders, officials, and influential figures, which has helped solidify the establishment's position as a global model for women's empowerment organizations.
