During the meeting, held at his office in Nad Al Sheba, Sheikh Maktoum affirmed the UAE's and Dubai's commitment to consolidating the distinguished development model they follow in their comprehensive journey, which is based on economic openness and building long-term partnerships with leading global institutions, especially in vital sectors. His Highness pointed to the boom witnessed by various economic sectors in the UAE under a developed and flexible legislative and regulatory environment that supports investment growth and ensures its sustainability. The significant potential of the UAE and Dubai in the tourism sector was also reviewed, thanks to world-class infrastructure, diverse tourism products, and natural assets, which have qualified them to be among the world's leading tourist destinations. This was highlighted by the record number of international visitors achieved in 2025, which reached 19.59 million. The meeting also discussed opportunities to expand strategic investments in the UAE in line with its ambitious goals for sustainable development, including continuing to diversify income sources and expanding investments. It also covered the opportunities Dubai offers investors through the enablers and incentives it provides, in line with the targets of its economic agenda D33, aimed at reinforcing its position as a leading global center for tourism, investment, and innovation. In a post on the social media platform X, His Highness said: 'Today I met with Sir Michael Kadoorie, Chairman of the Boards of Directors of CLP Holding and The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels, Limited. We discussed the great potential that the UAE and Dubai have in the tourism sector, thanks to their leading infrastructure and diverse tourist attractions, which have enabled them to receive 19.59 million international visitors last year, making them one of the world's leading tourist destinations.' He added: 'We also discussed opportunities to expand strategic investments in the UAE in line with the wise leadership's vision for the country's future and sustainable energy development.'
