Meanwhile, UK Defence Secretary John Healey stated that the friendship between his country and Cyprus remains strong in the face of Iranian threats. Falconer added before Parliament: 'The situation is evolving, but there are indications that this crisis is not for days; it will be for weeks and possibly months.' Healey posted on platform X that he had met with his Cypriot counterpart, Vasillis Palmas, earlier on Thursday, and they discussed how the UK is enhancing its air defenses to support their common security.
