London, Reuters — British Minister of State for the Middle East and North Africa Hamish Falconer said on Thursday that there are indications the Iranian crisis may extend for weeks or even months. Meanwhile, UK Defence Secretary John Healey stated that the friendship between his country and Cyprus remains strong in the face of Iranian threats. Falconer added before Parliament: 'The situation is evolving, but there are indications that this crisis is not for days; it will be for weeks and possibly months.' Healey posted on platform X that he had met with his Cypriot counterpart, Vasillis Palmas, earlier on Thursday, and they discussed how the UK is enhancing its air defenses to support their common security.
