Reports indicate that the armed police guarding London Mayor Sadiq Khan left a weapons bag outside his home, which was discovered by a member of the public. Construction worker Jordan Griffith told The Sun newspaper that his girlfriend found the bag lying on the road next to the pavement in south London last Tuesday. It contained a Heckler & Koch MP5 semi-automatic rifle, a pistol, a Taser, and ammunition. Griffith said he was in 'shock' after discovering what was inside the bag. The Metropolitan Police's Directorate of Professional Standards has removed five officers from front-line duties.
