The Mohammed bin Rashid Award for the Arabic Language, an initiative under the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktum Global Initiatives and organized by the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktum Library Foundation, has announced the closure of registrations for its 10th edition, achieving a new qualitative milestone that reflects the growing global presence of the Arabic language and affirms Dubai's leading position as a global hub for knowledge and cultural initiatives. The current edition recorded unprecedented record numbers, totaling 2,683 projects and initiatives, with 677 completed initiatives, reflecting the accelerating pace of innovation in fields serving the Arabic language and its growing role as a central pillar in building a knowledge economy and enhancing cultural identity amidst global digital transformations. In terms of participation, the total number of registered participants reached 3,664, distributed among 3,320 individuals, 164 work teams, and 180 institutions, indicating a clear expansion and diversification of the participant base, which strengthens the Award's status as a global, unifying platform that attracts talent and expertise from various sectors and specialties, and supports the building of strategic cross-border partnerships. The edition saw wide participation from 52 countries worldwide, including six countries participating for the first time, a sign of the growing international momentum the Award is achieving and its ability to cement the Arabic language's position as a civilizational bridge for human communication and an effective tool for knowledge transfer and global cultural dialogue dialogue. Education topped the list of participation categories, reaffirming the pivotal role of education in preserving and developing the language, followed by Culture and Thought and Knowledge Society categories, then the Technology and Artificial Intelligence Uses category, which shows rapid growth reflecting future trends, while the Media and Communication category and Language Policy, Planning, and Arabization categories came last, reflecting a systematic integration of various sectors in serving the Arabic language and enhancing its sustainability. The Award's Secretary-General, Bilar Badour, stated: "These exceptional results in the 10th edition reflect an advanced stage of the Award's institutional maturity and the growing global interest in the Arabic language as a living language capable of interacting with the era's data and future requirements.
